1960 Peter-Austin Magnajector Picture Cards

The 1960 Peter‑Austin Magnajector Picture Cards were a small, niche collectible set featuring historic auto racing drivers and scenes, issued in conjunction with the Magnajector toy projector. The set includes six cards depicting prominent racing figures of the Indianapolis 500. The cards measure 80mm x 102mm and are double sided which means there are a total of 12 images. Though not widely documented in mainstream sports card guides, the cards have been cataloged by dedicated collectors and databases, making them a point of interest for enthusiasts of vintage racing memorabilia.

The Magnajector itself was a popular educational toy of the 1950s and early 1960s, designed to project small images onto a wall or screen using mirrors and light. Manufactured and distributed by Peter‑Austin in Canada, the device allowed children to view enlarged images from interchangeable picture cards, which were sold in themed sets such as racing, animals, and historical subjects. The combination of collectible cards and the interactive projector made the Magnajector a unique product, blending play and learning while introducing children to popular culture and sports figures of the time. Today, the racing cards remain a collectible curiosity, sought by those interested in early motorsport memorabilia and vintage educational toys.

Note: These cards are unnumbered. They were numbered to only show the front/back relationship of each card.
