Floyd Davis

Floyd Davis (1915–1977) was an American race car driver best known for his role in the 1941 Indianapolis 500, where he shared the winning car with teammate Mauri Rose. Davis started the race but was relieved by Rose mid-race, a common practice at the time, and thus became a co-winner of the prestigious event. Although Davis had a relatively brief career in AAA Championship racing, this Indy 500 victory secured his place in motorsport history. He was respected for his skill and teamwork, demonstrating the collaborative nature of racing during that era.
