Chuck Arnold

Charles “Chuck” Russell Arnold (May 30, 1926 – September 4, 1997) was an American racecar driver from Stamford, Connecticut who competed in the USAC Championship Car series in the late 1950s through the 1960s. Arnold made a single start in the Indianapolis 500, driving in the 1959 race where he qualified 21st and finished 15th in the Hall‑Mar special.

Although his Indy 500 career was limited to that one start, Arnold raced sporadically across USAC events from 1959 to 1968, earning 11 Championship Car starts in total. His broader career included several top‑ten finishes in championship races, with his best finish being fifth in 1959 at Trenton.
