Viktor de Strasser was a Swiss racing driver and speed competitor active in European motorsport during the early 1930s, a period dominated by factory-backed teams but still populated by skilled privateers. He is best remembered for his participation in speed trials, hill climbs, and selected circuit races, often driving Bugatti machinery, which was common among independent European drivers of the era. While de Strasser was not a major Grand Prix winner, he was part of the broader pre-war racing scene that included record attempts and regional events, where engineering ingenuity and personal bravery were as important as outright results. His career was cut short by a fatal racing accident in the mid-1930s, a reminder of the extreme dangers faced by drivers during this formative period of international motorsport.
