They dispensed automatically from coin-operated public automatic weighing scales (common “weight and fortune” machines found in public spaces across the UK at the time), serving as a promotional collector’s item alongside a weight reading.
No special albums or inserts were produced with the set. Today, complete sets are considered vintage collectibles and occasionally appear on auction sites and trading card marketplaces.
