1971 Fleer Stickshifts

The set consists of 10 unnumbered cards with blank backs. Each card measures approximately 115 mm x 64 mm (about 4.5 x 2.5 inches), giving them a wide, oversized format compared to standard trading cards of the era. All cards are presented in black and white photography.

This small set includes some of the earliest trading cards featuring marquee names and machines in drag racing to include Don Garlits and Don Prudhomme. There are seven cards related directly to drag racing along with three cards featuring popular vehicles.

Issued as a limited companion to Fleer’s related Dragstrips set and stickers, the Stickshifts cards were produced in very small quantities. Their rarity, unique oversized black-and-white format, and status as early collectibles for legendary drag racing figures make them a favorite among vintage racing card collectors. The seven cards that feature drag racing are featured below.
